Thresher sharks and Malapascua's diving!  🦈🦈🦈

We have had incredible thresher shark dives since 2022, when the sharks moved from Monad Shoal to Kimud Shoal. Now they are seen shallower, later in the morning and much closer in general - which means far better sightings and fantastic photo ops. We are also getting regular tiger shark sightings at Monad Shoal, as well as other large sharks and rays, and there is a  lot more to see , including world-class macro and beautiful coral gardens, stunning wall dives and incredible muck dives, a couple of wrecks and several fantastic night dive sites. And you definitely don't want to miss Gato! "You come for the thresher sharks, but you leave remembering Gato" 😍

You are very fortunate to be coming now - there has never been a better time to come for thresher sharks 😊 Sightings have been incredible, the best in the 20 years we have been here! We are so sure you will see thresher sharks that we offer a unique "Thresher Shark Guarantee": if you do not see thresher sharks on one double-dive Kimud trip, we will offer you a  third dive for free . 

The thresher sharks recently moved from nearby Monad to Kimud Shoal, about an hour away. Due to its unique nature and given we don't want anyone to miss them, we now have a second guarantee😊, our "Kimud Dive Guarantee." For anyone who has only one night on the island, at no extra charge, we guarantee we will go to Kimud. Monad Shoal is deeper and currently has a 50% chance of seeing tiger sharks. Both Monad Shoal and Kimud are more challenging dive sites. You can go if you are an Open Water diver, but you must do it with an Instructor for your safety and comfort.   Find out more . 

As for the rest of the schedule, we offer 4 -5 dives a day (including a dusk or night dive). You can choose your dives from our daily schedule, which may include several sites in each time slot;  find out more .

Resorts

We can advise and book it depending on your requirements. There are many other options ranging from P500 to P7,000 a night. AC rooms start around P2,000. For more information on  resorts , click here. 

Our most popular resort options are (price per room per night, including breakfast for two):

  • Blanco P7,000 Deluxe Seaview
  • Blue Coral: P2,500 / P3,000 / P3,500 for garden / seaview / deluxe seaview.  

Transfers  

  • Transport: round trip from Cebu (hotel or airport), private road and boat trip, 
    • Includes porters in Maya Port and Malapascua, and the Maya Port fee
    • P12,000 for 1-2 pax. 
    • P15,000 for up to 5 pax. 
  • If your flight arrives after 12pm noon, you will need to stay on the mainland the first night as Maya port closes. 
  • For departure, we can get you to the airport by about noon.

Photographer

An in-house professional photographer/videographer is available for hire! If you want to improve your photography. We also teach photo courses, including the brand new PADI GoPro speciality with Go Pro Hero12 rental if you don't have your own. 

High-Speed Wi-fi

Starlink, Elon Musk's high-speed internet service, has finally arrived at TSD, one of the first locations in the Philippines to get it. Up to 100 MBPS. With a quiet beach-front work area upstairs. Free for customers. 

How to book

Just let us know all your details and we will book it all in for you. Deposits are easy to process; for your convenience and to save you on bank fees and exchange rates, we have  many options .

We use the online Wise, Revolut, Zelle, Paypal and GCash; we have bank accounts in the Philippines, UK, EU, USA, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. You can make credit card payments online (4% fee). And we also have an  online store . In addition, once you are here, we accept credit cards (4% fee) and all major currencies cash using a good exchange rate.
